Objective

Online Baccaratis based upon the popular casino card game.  Two hands are dealt, one each for the Player and Banker. You wager on which hand will come closest to nine points total. Side bets on ties are also available.

Rules of Play

Baccarat begins with two cards each dealt to the Player and Banker hands. Their totals are then calculated. The cards 2 thru 9 are worth their face value, Aces count as one point, and face cards and 10s count as zero. When a hand’s value exceeds nine, the last digit of the total is the score, i.e., for 7+6=13, the total is three. A third card may be drawn, but only according to strict Baccarat rules. The Player hand goes first. If it totals zero thru five, a third card is dealt automatically. For totals of six or seven, no additional card is allowed. On totals of eight or nine, the game stops, the Banker hand is compared, and a winner is declared with no more cards drawn.  After the Player hand has been settled, the Banker hand is considered. On totals of seven, eight or nine, the Banker hand must stand. On zero thru two, a draw is required. Drawing is permitted on other counts, depending on the Player hand total.

Payouts

Winning wagers on the Player hand pay odds of 1-to-1 or even money.  Bets that win on the Banker hand pay odds of 1-to-1 less a 5% commission. If the Banker and Player hands both have the same value, the result is a “Tie” with no winner declared; bets on either hand are returned. However, wagers made on the Tie pay off at odds of 9-to-1.
